Comics are an accessible and exciting medium that all creatives can utilize to tell stories – big or small! Over three hours, workshop participants will:
- Learn the basics of formatting, and the “rules” we need to follow to make a comic legible
- Ideate their first 3-5 panel comic
- Write and thumbnail their first draft
- Workshop their draft with the teacher and classmates
- Ink/finalise their comic
- Finally, they’ll walk away with their short comic and the tools to make more.
Over three hours, there will be a mixture of instructor-led presentations, private drawing time, and workshops with the entire class.
