Workshop
Improv
A weekly drop-in improv workshop to kick off your weekend
Breakfast Club is a place to further develop your improv skills and build confidence in your choices on stage, all in a relaxed and supportive environment. Each week we’ll warm up, explore some ideas through various exercises and scene-work, and finish off with a jam.
Additionally, for anyone keen to stick around, we’ll head to a local cafe after the session to hang out over a coffee and grab a bite to eat.
These sessions are appropriate if you are:
- Just looking to squeeze some extra reps in
- Feeling rusty and wanting to get back into improv after a break
- Stuck in your head and wanting to boost your confidence again
- Wanting to keep doing improv without the long-term commitment of a team or term of classes
- Keen to meet and play with new people
These drop-ins are run by Dan Thomas. He has studied at The Improv Conspiracy, LMA, UCB (New York), iO Chicago, The Second City, and has been teaching and coaching improvisers (both local and abroad) since 2017.
Dan created Space on Earth to run sessions just like this, where the focus is placed on finding ways to hero an individual’s strengths, learning through exploration, and having the best possible time in the process. He believes in creating enjoyable sessions that empower performers to trust their instincts, rediscover the joy of play, and find an increased sense of self-belief.
