The traditional scaffolding around ‘making it’ in comedy has been deeply routed in structures that are designed primarily for cis white men. It’s time to redefine ‘what it takes’.
This workshop is all about approaching ‘success’ and ‘cutting your teeth’ differently. We’ll cover collaboration (being open to working alongside newbies, contemporaries, and mentors), joke writing (a little bit of joke structure and theory for just the right amount of knowing the rules before you break them), comedy online vs onstage (benefits of both), and how to do it all without being a cynical competitive c*nt! 😉
