Improv
You don't need to be a singer to find your voice and sell your song!
How can you sing your best? Why is your musician also your scene partner? Does everything have to rhyme?
This workshop is designed for confident improvisors of all singing abilities who may or may not have prior experience in musical improv or musical theatre. We approach the musical like any other genre and explore the world therein, making the most of the relationship an improvisor has with their musician. Participants will add to their existing skill base, extend their repertoire and find their voice.
Run over two sessions, the first looks at more structured musical improv — short form / game skills — and the second looks at approaching longer form musicals, cabaret and scene work. Our aim is to prove that you don’t need to be a singer to sell your song!
