Millie Holten
Millie is an screenwriter, comedian & illustrator from Melbourne. A 2019 Bachelor of Screenwriting (Honours) graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts — in 2020, she was shortlisted for the Australian Writers’ Guild John Hinde Award. She is one-third of the comedy trio Big Big Big, the team behind the sickly scripted podcast - The Candyman (2021). The series has been featured on ABC Radio Melbourne, CBC/Radio One Canada, NPR, and nominated for ‘Best Comedy Podcast’ at the 2021 Australian Podcast Awards.
She's performed in a few Melbourne International Comedy Festivals (2018, 2019, 2021 & 2022), a singular Adelaide Fringe (2022), and teaches regularly at The Improv Conspiracy Theatre (2017-2022). She is currently a writer and producer at Venn (a production company and consultancy) and a screenwriting tutor at The Victorian College of the Arts.
In her downtime, she draws grotty comics - her work published in local anthologies (Heaps, Vamoose), and online. An experienced educator and creative - Millie brings warmth, humour, and practical skills to every class she teaches.
